Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko dropped his opposition to joining a customs union with Russia and Kazakhstan after his country reached an agreement on gas-trasnit fees with Moscow-based OAO Gazprom, Vedomosti reported.
Lukashenko will dicuss the details of joining the union with his Russian and Kazakh counterparts, Dmitry Medvedev and Nursaltan Nazarbayev in the Kazakh capital Astana today, the Moscow-based newspaper said, citing the Belarus government.
