Belarus announced Thursday that it will raise transit fees for Russian oil and oil products 12.7 percent to 1.6 U.S. dollars per 100 km per ton.
According to the RIA Novosti news agency, the decision, which took effect Thursday, was made in accordance with an agreement reached between the two countries in 2004.
Belarus has unsuccessfully insisted that Moscow scrap oil export tariffs levied on Minsk.
