MINSK -- The Belarusian parliament ratified the Customs Code of the Russian-Belarusian-Kazakhstani customs union June 30, news media reported. Belarusian President Alyaksandr Lukashenka now has five days to approve the Customs Code.
The customs union took effect July 1. Russia and Kazakhstan are already on board, but Belarus delayed entry because of a dispute with Russia over energy prices.
