President of Belarus calls for immediate blast investigation

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko called for immediate investigation of the explosion on July 3 during a concert at the Minsk Hero City memorial, reported Belta.

Alexander Lukashenko who was attending the concert inspected the explosion site and took the investigation under his control.

The chief of the main interior affairs department of the Minsk city council Anatoly Kuleshov said that a home-made explosive device went off in the crossing of Masherova and Pobeditelei avenues. People with slight and medium-degree injuries were taken to hospitals. No people werer reported dead.

Anatoly Kuleshov said emergencies services acted promptly. All injured got necessary medical help. According to him, the explosion was an act of hooliganism. A criminal probe was opened. The investigation is under way.
