Second bomb found in Belarus capital near blast site

MINSK, July 4 (RIA Novosti) - An unexploded bomb has been found near the site of a blast that injured around 50 concert-goers in the Belarusian capital on Thursday evening, the interior minister said on Friday.

The explosion, which police have attributed to 'hooliganism', went off in the middle of a crowd at an open-air concert in central Minsk marking Independence Day, attended by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.

Interior Minster Vladimir Naumov told RIA Novosti that the second bomb "had several fingerprints and other traces that will enable investigators to speed up the search and apprehend the culprits."

No fatalities have been reported from yesterday's blast. Doctors have not given details on the degree of injuries received, but a police source said no one was seriously hurt.

The Interior Ministry said festive events would continue in the capital, although security measures have been stepped up.
