Belarus started mass harvesting campaign mainly in southern regions

Belarus started mass harvesting campaign mainly in southern regions, reported the Department of Plant Growing of Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

According to specialists, harvesting campaign in northern regions will start at the beginning of August only. High grain humidity and unripeness hold in the campaign.

Grain milling totaled 274.000 tonnes, grain yield totals 32.8 c/ha, last year yield was 29.7 á/ha. 50.000 tonnes of grain have been already flattened.

Winter rape was harvested within the area of 170.000 ha or 66% of the sowing area. The croppage of rape oilseeds totaled 385.600 tonnes, crop yield - 22.7 c/ha, up 5 á as compared to the previous year.

Alexander Lukashenko, President of Belarus, set a problem to start mass harvesting campaign in all regions since July, 26.
