Belarusian and Polish customs services to share information about smuggled goods

The customs services of Belarus and Poland will share the information about smuggled goods. This decision was passed during a working session of the heads of the law-enforcement structures of the Belarusian Customs Committee and the Polish Customs Service in Grodno.

As BelTA leant in the Belarusian State Customs Committee, participants of the session in Grodno discussed the interdepartmental cooperation of customs services of the two countries in fight against contraband and administrative customs offences.

Belarusian and Polish experts discussed the situation connected with the illegal drugs and psychotropic substances turnover, the illegal transportation of cigarettes, alcohol and other goods via the state borders. The sides also developed the plan of the joint actions to counteract the illegal activity dealing with drugs turnover.

In line with the results of the session, the Belarusian and Polish sides signed the protocol which fixed the reached agreements.

During the session the Belarusian delegation was led by Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee Vasily Dementei, the Polish side - Deputy General Director of the Customs Service of the Polish Finance Ministry Grzegorz Smogorzewski.
