Saparmurat Niyazov orders Russian and Belarus cars for over US 5 million

Turkmen President Saparmurat Niyazov signed a number of decrees authorizing the Central Bank and Ministry of motor transport of Turkmenistan to sign contracts for supply of Russian and Belarus KamAz, UAZ and MAZ cars and spare parts for them.

As the Ashgabat correspondent of Turkmenistan.ru reports referring to the press service of the Turkmen president, according to a decree signed by the head of state, the Central Bank is to sign a contract with Asia Group company for the purchase of 3 KamAz cars and 100 wheels for them as well as 56 UAZ cars and 400 wheels for them for the department of encashment. A US $ 822 thousand contract will be financed at the expense of the encashment department of the Central Bank of Turkmenistan.

According to another decree by the president, the Ministry of motor transport and roads of Turkmenistan is to sign a contract with the unitary republican production enterprise "Minsk automobile factory" for the supply of 100 tip-up Ś€Z-551605-230-024 cars with the shipment capacity of 20 tons and spare parts for them totaling US $ 4, 497 million.

The contract will be financed at the expense of convertible currency reserves of the Ministry of railway transportation of Turkmenistan.
