WARSAW, July 29 (Xinhuanet) -- Wlodzimierz Cimoszewicz, speaker of the Polish House of Representatives, said Friday that he did not exclude the possibility of declaring Belarus' ambassador persona non grata.

Cimoszewicz told the Polish Press Agency that the recall of Polish ambassador to Belarus proved the degradation of bilateral ties.

On Thursday, the Polish government declared that it would recall its ambassador to Belarus Cimoszewicz said that the time to declare Belarus' ambassador persona non grata might come soon.

Belarus' embassy in Poland told the press agency that Belarus' ambassador is still in Poland, adding that the embassy will continue to operate to strengthen the relations between the two countries and two peoples.

According to another report, Belarus said that it did not have the intention to recall its ambassador from Poland.

Relations between Warsaw and Minsk have soured amid pressure from Poland for democratic reforms in Belarus, a mission Belarus suspects is backed by the United States and other Western forces.

The rhetoric intensified as Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko accused an organization that represents the large ethnic Polish community in western Belarus of working to foment a pro-Western revolt ahead of the elections next year
