Kazakh PM met with Belarussian President

ASTANA. June 10. KAZINFORM A meeting of Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov and President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has been held today in Minsk, Premier's press service said.

The status and prospects for development of the bilateral Kazakh-Belarusian relations in the trade-economic sphere were discussed at the meeting.

The Kazakh Prime Minister informed A.Lukashenko of the decision to set up a common customs space between Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia.

The Belarusian President noted that the establishment of the common customs space will become good start for the crisis overcoming. “The common customs space will promote development of our countries. It all will be possible if all involved countries carry through all the agreements”, A.Lukashenko noted.

According to A.Lukashenko, the current potential of bilateral interaction is not fully realized today. Therefore the staff of the Belarusian Embassy in Kazakhstan will be replenished. He assured that all the necessary measures will be taken to activate cooperation with Kazakhstan.
