WASHINGTON, June 29 (Reuters) - The International Monetary Fund on Monday approved a $679 million loan tranche for Belarus and increased financing support for the country by $1 billion to $3.52 billion under a revised economic program.
'The revised arrangement will support the government's economic program and help Belarus to contain the effects of a greater than expected impact from the global financial crisis,' the IMF said in a statement.
