MINSK. June 26 (Interfax) - Belarus will repay $234.1 million in debt owed to Gazprom August-November 2009, First Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Semashko said.
"They are trying to squeeze us a little. The debt to Gazprom totaled $234.1 million as of June 1. Beginning in August we will start repaying it and in November we will complete repayment at the appropriate price," Semashko told the Belarusian parliament on Friday.
Belarus will continue to pay for gas at the average annual price throughout that period, he said.
