Ahmadinejad: Iran, Belarus should manage world through cooperation

TEHRAN (IRNA) - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Wednesday that certain bullying powers want to restore unilateral order in the world through manipulation of recent global developments.

In a meeting with Belarusian Parliament speaker Boris Batura, the president said Iran and Belarus should play a role in administering global affairs through cooperation.

Ahmadinejad added, the world is on the verge of big developments and the domineering powers are losing their grip.

Establishing fair and humanitarian system in the world is only possible through efforts of all countries, including the Non-Aligned Movement members, the president stated.

Ahmadinejad went on to say that formation of a parliamentary, legal and judicial system will be effective in promoting NAM and restructuring the international system.

The Iranian president said Iran and Belarus share common stance on many global issues. He added Tehran is prepared to expand ties with Minsk.

Mr. Batura called Iran's presidential elections successful and praised the Iranian nation for successfully countering blatant external interference.

The visiting Belarusian Parliament speaker said Belarus wants to expand ties with Iran in different fields, and favors mutual cooperation in establishing a justice-based system in world.

Mr. Batura welcomed Iran's proposal on establishment of legal and judicial bodies by the NAM member states and said Belarus is ready for any cooperation in this regard.

He said that Tehran and Minsk share common stances on the fact that NAM should play a stronger role on the international scenes.
