Belarus' Prime Minister Sidorsky Arrives On Official Visit To Ukraine

The FINANCIAL -- Prime Minister of Belarus Sergey Sidorsky has arrived to Ukraine on an official visit.

His plane landed at the Boryspil international airport, Kyiv region.

The first meeting will be with President Viktor Yuschenko.

At the meeting, the sides intend to discuss a number of important issues in the Ukrainian -Belarusian co-operation.

In particular, they will be the completion of the registration of the Ukrainian -Belarusian border, co-operation in the energy industry and the cooperation in the frames of the programme Eastern Partnership.

On Friday, the prime minister of Belarus will also meet with Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko and Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Lytvyn.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, in late May, Ukraine agreed with Belarus on the export of electricity until 2010.

In January, Ukraine and Belarus agreed on the acceleration of the trade-economic co-operation during the economic downturn.
