Jewish Community of Grodno Launches New Magazine

GRODNO, Belarus - A new Jewish publication has come to light in the former Soviet republic of Belarus. The Jewish community of Grodno is pleased to announce the release of its new magazine, entitled 'Kadima'.

The first issue was distributed in the lead-up to the holiday of Shavuot. It is envisioned that this publication will help nurture relations between Jews of Grodno and to convey information about community and other events of interest to local Jews, while at the same time share stories, lessons and traditions concerning Jewish life in the past and the present.

Subscribers to these editions will include Jewish residents of the city of Grodno and the surrounding region. Already, the editors have received a solid stream of positive feedback to the first edition and a voiced consensus that this magazine will help to bring Jews of Grodno closer together and help to strengthen Jewish life in the region in general.

The Jewish community of Grodno is a member of the Association of Jewish Communities of Belarus, which belongs to the Federation of Jewish Communities of the CIS.
