Negotiations and works on marking border, which lasted more than ten years will be closed by the exchange of notes that signify an end to demarcation of the border between Lithuania and Belarus.
On Thursday, in the Foreign Affairs Ministry, ministry secretary Laimonas Talat-Kelps and Belarus foreign affairs deputy minister Valerij Voroneckij will exchange notes of the countries. A border with Belarus is the first demarcated Eastern border of the EU, informs ELTA.
Lithuanian and Belarus border is set for the first time, earlier they were separated by the administrative line, with other requirements set for it.
The length of national border with Belarus reaches 678.89 km.
