Byelorussian protestant pastor to stand trial for illegal preaching

Minsk, June 4, Interfax - Antoniy Bokun, a protestant pastor in Byelorussia, will stand trial on Monday in Minsk, the central district department of interior affairs in Minsk told Interfax.

"Bokun was detained on Sunday for unauthorized preaching. He was taken to the central district department of interior affairs," the department said.

The pastor is being kept at a reception center on Okrestin Street.

Bokun was first detained on similar charges on May 27. He escaped then with only fine.
