Chiefs of frontier regions of Ukraine and Belarus discuss transborder cooperation

The issue was discussed by the participants in a meeting of chiefs of frontier regions of Ukraine and Belarus, was held in the Volyn region (Lutsk).

They urged to use the huge industrial capability of the two neighboring nations for enlargement and deepening mutually profitable trade - economic cooperation. Though, over four months of 2006 trade turnover between the two states grew almost 1.5 times, the parties to the meeting agreed that the industrial capability of Ukraine in this sphere is used only to 15 - 18 percent.
