Working Meeting Of Alexey Miller, Vladimir Semashko And Dmitry Kazakov

MOSCOW (RNWire) - A working meeting was held today at Gazprom headquarters by Alexey Miller, Chairman of Gazprom's Management Committee, Vladimir Semashko, Vice Premier of the Republic of Belarus, and Dmitry Kazakov, Director General of Beltransgaz.

The parties discussed terms and conditions for cooperation in the gas sector in 2007.

In addition, the parties decided to compile a list of Belarusian companies being of interest for Gazprom, with their value assessment to follow. A joint working group will be created for these purposes. On the initiative the Belarusian side, ABN Amro has been identified as an independent auditor. The work embracing the asset list compilation and assessment will take into account the increase of Russian gas price for Belarus in 2007.

Gazprom and Beltransgaz sealed a Gas Delivery and Transit Contract for 2006 on December 27, 2005. Under the Contract, Gazprom will provide Belarus with 21 bcm of gas, of which 1.5 bcm will be supplied provided there is capacity available.

The gas price and transmission tariff are in line with the arrangements for 2005. The price of gas is US$ 46.68 per 1,000 cu m. The tariffs for gas transmission by the Beltransgaz-owned networks and Yamal-Europe pipeline account for US$ 0.75 and US$ 0.46 per 1,000 cu m, respectively.
