Belarus Says No Plans To Join Eurasian Economic Community Bank

(RTTNews) - Belarus has ruled out the possibility of joining the Eurasian Economic Community - EEC bank for the time being, published reports said Monday citing Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov. Kazakhstan and Russia signed an agreement for establishing the Eurasian bank in January 2006. However, Kobyakov said his country does not rule out the possibility of taking part in the EEC bank in future. The EEC bank is intended to ensure stable development of the economies in the EEC, maintain high rates of economic growth and expand trade. The EEC comprises of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
