Belarus counts on Russia's support in "averting Orange Revolutions" Belarusian lower house speaker Uladzimir Kanaplyow told journalists in Homel today.

"Orange revolutions are hardly topical for Belarus," he said, adding that Belarus had reliable information about "training of militants and creation of militant organizations in neighbouring countries". "We know that our Russian friends will support us," Kanaplyow said.

He said that this issue would be addressed today during a session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia. He pointed out that a statement might be adopted to this effect.
