MINSK, May 4 (Reuters) - Belarus may sell a minority stake in Belaruskali, one of the world's largest potash producers, President Alexander Lukashenko told Reuters on Tuesday.
Belaruskali owns 50 percent of the Belarussian Potash Co, a joint venture with Russian miner Uralkali that controls about 30 percent of the world potash market.
Asked in an interview with Reuters if he would consider selling a stake in Belaruskali to a foreign investor, Lukashenko replied, "I do not exclude it."
"If there was a good price for the shares, we would look at what stake we could sell. But for now Belarus will retain a controlling share," Lukashenko said.
