A meeting in Belgrade has been organised within the continuation of bilateral cooperation of economies of the two countries, in relation to the recently inked Free Trade Agreement between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Belarus.

President of MK Group, Miodrag Kostic, and Minister of Agriculture of Belarus, Semyon B. Shapiro, have discussed business expansion and investments of MK Group in Belarus.

A meeting in Belgrade has been organised within the continuation of bilateral cooperation of economies of the two countries, in relation to the recently inked Free Trade Agreement between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Belarus.

- MK Group is one of few Serbian companies investing abroad. After successful business operations in the largest wheat producer in Europe, Ukraine, we plan to invest in Belarus as well. Our objective is to enable better placement of local products at the Belarus market and open our market for companies from Belarus - explains Miodrag Kostic, President of MK Group

Belarus, the country with the most stable and highest economic growth of all former Soviet republics, provides an opportunity for promotion and investments of the Serbian economy in the region.

A significant event preceding this one was a visit of Belarus President Lukashenko to Mt. Kopaonik in March, during the Economic Forum.

This meeting was part of an official three-day visit of Minister of Agriculture of Belarus, Semyon B. Shapiro, to Serbia, and the continuation of cooperation between MK Group and businesspeople and state officials of this country, launched last year, within preparations for MK Group's IPO at the London Stock Exchange.
