New study program "Real Property Law" developed under EU-funded TEMPUS Project in Belarus

Advertising brochure has been finalized within the project "Development of Study Programme in Real Property Law" and is an essential component of the advertising campaign already in progress. EU-funded TEMPUS Project is at the final implementation stage and sums up its principal achievements. The project is implemented at the Polotsk State University under support of partner organizations: Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden; Delft University of Technology, Delft, the Netherlands and Helsinki University of Technology, Helsinki, Finland.

To make the public aware about project results and promote the new study program, advertising campaign has been started. The campaign presupposes dissemination of information through local newspapers and TV; visits of 12 secondary schools in the region to attract potential students interested in law; posting of advertising information at the web-site of Polotsk State University, Belarus; issuance of information letters to the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Justice; Ministry of Economy and local educational authorities to inform about the project's achievements.

The Study Program that is a core of the brochure is firstly to be introduced at the Faculty of Law at Polotsk State University and afterwards gradually at the Civil Engineering Faculty and at the Faculty of Economics, Business and Finance. The program includes undergraduate study courses, such as civil law, land law, housing law, public law, real property registration, cadastre, real property management, administrative and procedural law, comparative law, property valuation and taxation.

It is planned to publish 300 advertising brochures, 2 full A4 format pages each. Advertising campaign and particularly dissemination of the advertising brochure is expected to increase the number of students starting the coming academic year. Among first-year students at least 20 students are expected to choose the real property law specialization that will be launched at the university in the nearest future. Other anticipated results are more attention of local educational authorities and the Ministry of Education to the study programmes in real property law at higher schools and universities and in particular that one developed at Polotsk State University.
