Moscow, May 28 (Prensa Latina) The naming of Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin as head of the Russia-Belarus Union's Council of Ministers is interpreted in Moscow as a major boost for the integrationist process.
Alexander Lukashenko, president of the Union's Supreme Council and Belarusian president, and his Russian counterpart, Dmitri Medvedev, signed the related decree, according to the Kremlin press service
After eight years as president, Putin closed his mandate with over 80 percent of approval, polls revealed.
Putin recently travelled to Minsk to examine with Lukashenko several points of bilateral cooperation, and the implementation of joint projects in energy.
In addition, the two parties discussed the access of both countries' products to markets, and enlarging the transport infrastructure.
