Belarus, Iran agree to conduct solidarity policy in international arena

MINSK, May 22 (Itar-Tass) - Belarus and Iran have agreed on conducting a solidarity policy in the international arena, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Tuesday after a meeting with his Belarusian counterpart, Alexander Lukashenko.

The two presidents met in the National Library where an official breakfast was organized in honor of President Ahmadinejad, who completed a two-day official visit to Minsk.

The powers that seek to conduct a policy of international hegemony will have to give up their attempts in the face of strong will of the peoples of Iran and Belarus, Ahmadinejad said.

He reiterated that both countries oppose the uni-polar world and the policies inflicting damage on other nations.

President Lukashenko said, on his part, his country will do its best to reward Iran for the understanding it shows towards the Belarusian people
