No more shows of film Da Vinci Code in Belarus

MINSK, May 22 (Itar-Tass) -- The screening of the film The Da Vinci Code is stopped in Belarus in connection with the "mixed reaction of the believers." Under the decision of the Minsk film and video distribution office the shows of the film will be replaced with those of an American romantic drame "Memoirs of a Geisha".

The Da Vinci Code, one of the most controversial films of the recent period, which is permitted in Belarus to be watched by viewers not younger than 18, was running in the cinema houses of the Belarussian capital for four days. "Tickets were booked and were all sold out," Itar-Tass learned from the office of the Moskva cinema house, one of the biggest in Minsk.

Meanwhile, because of the "mixed reaction of the believers" the booking of the tickets for the film was discontinued, and there will be no more shows of the film as of this Monday.
