Belarus Inspects Quality of Borjomi Mineral Water

/ Civil Georgia, Tbilisi /

Chief sanitary inspector of Belarus Mikhail Rimzha signed a decree on inspecting the quality of Georgian mineral water Borjomi imported to Belarus from Georgia, Interfax news agency reported on May 12.

"The inspection will be carried out with regard to the situation, which emerged in Russia around Georgian mineral water Borjomi... However, I think that we receive high quality Borjomi," Mikhail Rimzha said.

Russia has banned the import of the Georgian mineral waters Borjomi and Nabeglavi in early May several weeks after banning the import of Georgian wines and spirits.

The Chief sanitary inspector of Belarus also said that Georgian wines imported to Belarus meet state standards.
