PRAGUE, April 17 (Itar-Tass) -- Czech President Vaclav Klaus is surprised with the invitation of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko to the Eastern Partnership summit due in Prague on May 7.

He has refused to received the Belarusian president at his residence, Klaus's press secretary said on Friday.

"The president is surprised with the dual morality applied to Lukashenko. He won't shake Lukashenko's hand and won't receive him," the press secretary said.

The Eastern Partnership initiative implies broader cooperation with the European Union, which is currently presided by the Czech Republic, with Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia. The official launch of this initiative will take place at the Prague summit.
