MINSK -- Belarusian authorities have issued an arrest warrant for a youth activist, RFE/RL's Belarusian Service reports.

Tatsiyana Tsishkevich was found guilty along with 13 other youth activists of organizing mass actions in Minsk in January. She was sentenced to two years of restricted freedom during which she would be unable to leave Minsk.

In the latest ruling, Tsishkevich was charged with failing to fulfill the terms of her sentence, and faces three years in prison if found guilty.

A leader of the Young Democrats organization in Minsk, Mikhal Pahkevich, told RFE/RL about the arrest warrant for Tsishkevich, adding that she is currently studying at a university in Poland.
