Lukashenko was invited to the summit of East Partnership

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Karel Schwarzenberg handed President Alexander Lukashenko in Minsk on Friday an invitation to attend the founding summit of the EU initiative Eastern Partnership to be held May 7 in Prague. The statement was made by Foreign Minister of Belarus Sergei Martynov following a meeting with K. Schwarzenberg.

As the PRIME-TASS, the head of the Foreign Ministry and the Czech Republic indicated that Mr Lukashenko is not confirmed that he arrives at the summit in Prague. He accepted the invitation, and now he must decide who will represent Belarus at the summit, - added K. Schwarzenberg.

Recall prior to EU summit, it was decided that that the project Eastern Partnership which will attract and Ukraine, will allocate 600 million euros. The official start of the initiative Eastern Partnership will be given on May 7.
