New Delhi, Apr 16: Belarus Interior Minister Vladimir Naumov met Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil here today.
During the 45-minute meeting, the two leaders discussed various issues of mutual interest, including those relating to security.
Patil expressed satisfaction over the fact that there is growing international realization about the need to contain terrorism.
India has suffered a lot due to terrorism, but has been able to contain the menace, Patil said.
He also informed Naumov about the working of his Ministry, particularly in the sphere of Centre-State relations.
Both leaders also expressed satisfaction over the current level of understanding between the two countries and to further strengthen the bilateral relations.
Patil accepted Naumov's invitation to visit Belarus.
