Cuba, Belarus Playing Same League

Havana, Apr 22 (Prensa Latina) Cuban President Fidel Castro and Belarusian Prime Minister Sergey Sidorski have agreed to boost bilateral cooperation, according to a front-page story published in Granma daily on Saturday.

The two statesmen on Friday reviewed current bilateral ties and explored their prospects in the fields of trade and collaboration, added the newspaper.

Belarus will strengthen economic-commercial relations with Cuba, for which purpose the two countries will sign several agreements on

collaboration and cooperation in non-traditional trade areas.

Sidorski is accompanied by the presidents of the Supreme Economic Court, the State Aviation Committee, the Radio and Television Company and representatives of major Belarusian companies and will meet today with the president of the People's Power National Assembly (Parliament), Ricardo Alarcon.

Belarus and Cuba cooperate actively in the United Nations, the

Non-Aligned Movement and other international forums.
