Venzuela to Supply Crude to Belarus

During 15 March negotiations in Caracas, the presidents Belarus and Venezuela agreed that Belarus would receive crude from Venezuela for its refineries. RIA-Novosti reports that an agreement on crude supplies between Venezuela and Belarus will be signed soon.

"We reached a wonder agreement on supplies of Venezuelan crude to Belarus. Our oil refineries will receive crude from Venezuela. We will refine it together and sell the oil products on the European market", Lukashenko said commenting on his meeting with Chavez.

The joint Belarussian-Venezuelan enterprise Petrolera BeloVenesolana is already producing about 1 million tons of crude a year. "We will continue to develop oil production in the interests of our two countries", Lukashenko said.

Besides this, the heads of state agreed that the Belarussian side would handle the gasification of Venezuelan cities and towns and also build a number of industrial enterprises in the country".
