Aid for poorer Poles in Belarus

Over 300 packages of food is to be sent to families of the poorest Poles living in Belarus.

The gifts were prepared thanks to the financial support of the Polish consulate and Polish companies operating in Belarus.

The Polish consul, Krzysztof Swiderek, said that mainly ailing and disabled persons can count on the aid. The packages will be given to families from Vitebsk and its surroundings, the Bratslav district and Minsk.

The Polish consulate in Minsk has been organizing aid for Poles living in Belarus for a couple of years. The consulate is aided by Polish businessmen and the Polish Association in Belarus. (mo)
