Belarusian foreign ministry: USA is far from being ideal in observance of human rights

The USA is far from being treated as ideal in observance of human rights, Belarusian Foreign Ministry's Spokesman Andrei Popov announced at a briefing today commenting on US Department of State Country Report on Human Rights Practices in Belarus.

"Why must Belarus, as a sovereign state, react to a report made by some another country? Moreover, as far as we know, there has been no international decision that entrusted the United States for preparing such documents," he stressed.

Popov also said that the USA had neither moral, nor political right for preparing such materials.
