Azerbaijan's Emergencies Minister meets with Belarus Prime Minister

Azerbaijan's Emergencies Minister, General Colonel Kamaleddin Heydarov today met with Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Sidorski, Ministry's public affairs department told the APA.

Mr. Heydarov expressed his assurance that this visit will have positive influence on dynamic development of Azerbaijan-Belarus relations. The minister stated notwithstanding short period has passed from President Ilham Aliyev's visit to Belarus, concrete results have been achieved in expansion of bilateral relations.

Mr. Sidorski noted that Azerbaijan- Belarus relations have prospects in development of all spheres and stressed that President Ilham Aliyev's visit to Belarus had great role in the expansion of mutual relations.

Prime Minister saying that cooperation between the two countries is of systematic character underlined that his visit to Azerbaijan will have concrete results.

The visitor got interested in the activity of the newly established Emergencies Ministry and noted that 2007-2010 complex action plan signed between relevant structures of the two countries in March this year promise good prospects.

Mr.Heydarov informed the Prime Minister about the ministry's activity directions and talked about positive influence of the cooperation of bodies against emergency situations. He also reminded the use Belarus's experience in the establishment of the ministry.

After the meeting, Sergei Sidorski together with the delegation he led visited Izotop plant of the ministry. They have got acquainted with the work of some departments of the plant and have been informed about reconstruction works and that most of equipment has been brought from Belarus. Prime minister said that he is satisfied with his visit to the center of the plant on work of radioactive wastes noting that the work has been organized well.

Heydarov underlined the foundation of the work in this sphere have been laid by national leader Heydar Aliyev, and followed by President Ilham Aliyev. /APA/
