Belarus to increase steel cord output to 150,000 mt per year
Production of steel cord in Belarus is to be increased to 150,000 mt per year, Belarusian media have reported citing First Deputy Industry Minister Ivan Demidovich.
Accordingly, Byelorussian Iron and Steel Works (BMZ) is currently developing a project to increase its steel cord production from 100,000 mt to 150,000 mt per year. The project will be implemented within the next five years.
As SteelOrbis previously reported, in 2010 Belarus produced 92,900 mt of steel cords, registering an increase of 34.7 percent compared to 2009.
