In 2010, Belarus increased output of fat-and-oil products

In 2010, enterprises of the fat-and-oil industry of Belarus increased production volumes of all varieties of fat-and-oil commodities, declared the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus (Belstat).

According to Belstat data, last year, production volumes of vegetable oils in the country totaled 91.56 thsd tonnes, an increase of 14.7% compared to 2009 results. In particular, the organizations of the Belarusian State Concern of Food Industry Belgospischeprom increased vegetable oils production by 17.4% - to 32.7 thsd tonnes.

In 2010, Belarus increased production of bottled oil by 31.6% compared to the same period of 2009, and produced 15.98 thsd tonnes of the product.

In the reporting period, the country produced 19.99 thsd tonnes of mayonnaise, an increase of 2.3% compared to the same period of the previous year. Enterprises of the concern Belgospischeprom produced 11.157 thsd tonnes of the product (down 3.8%).

Margarine production in Belarus increased by 14.8%, compared to the same period of the previous year - to 19.53 thsd tonnes. Enterprises of the concern Belgospischeprom produced the major volume - 17.08 thsd tonnes of the product (up 18.6%).

According to data of the National Statistical Committee, as of January 1, 2011, reserves of vegetable oils at storages of the producers totaled 6.1% of the average monthly production volumes, margarine products - 33.9%, mayonnaise - 19.2%.
