Belarus expects first deliveries of Azerbaijani oil

Belarus expects first deliveries of oil from Azerbaijan received by Odessa-Brodi pipeline.

The pipeline was built in the mid 90s and planned to carry the Caspian oil via Georgia and Ukraine to the Polish and Baltic ports. Later the Polish part was frozen and Belarus managed to resume the project last year. The capacity of a pipeline is 16 million tons a year, Belarus National TV reported.

Overall Belarus oil refineries will receive 4 million tons of Azerbaijani oil in 2011.
