Ukraine, Belarus discuss Eurointegration priorities
KYIV, February 26 /UKRINFORM/. A meeting took place between Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Rayisa Bohatyriova and Belarusian State Secretary of the Security Council Yuri Zhadobin, who is on a working visit to Kyiv.
As the NSDC press service informed, the parties discussed ways of solving problem issues in the Ukrainian-Belarusian bilateral relations, as well as possibilities of further development of bipartite cooperation. An issue was raised on overcoming consequences of the world financial-economic crisis and minimization of their negative impact on the economies of Ukraine and Belarus.
The parties discussed the European vector of the two countries' foreign policies in the context of the Polish-Swedish Eastern Partnership initiative, of which Ukraine and Belarus are participants. A common position was stated that both countries are European states and the main foreign political priority of both countries is full-fledged integration with the European community.
