About 10 documents can be signed at an upcoming session of Belarus-Azerbaijan Commission

Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Nearly up to 16 draft co-operation agreements between Azerbaijan and Belarus are at stage of active elaboration currently.

Nikolay Patskevich, the Byelorussian ambassador to Azerbaijan, said that about 10 of the documents can be signed in the course of an upcoming session of the Azerbaijan-Belarus Intergovernmental Commission.

"Both parties do their best to hold the bilateral Commission session in the first half of the year," Patskevich said.

The session will take place in Minsk.

"Drafting of some bipartite agreements and their preparing for signing has been finished. Among them are an agreement on co-operation in the area of printing, an agreement between border agencies, a range of documents between the two countries' health ministries," Patskevich said.

The Commission will also focus on the course of implementation of the Agreement on long-term trade and economic co-operation between Azerbaijan and Belarus.

"This Agreement was signed for period until 2015 during President Ilham Aliyev's visit to Minsk in 2006. In 2007 both states' prime ministers signed the Action Plan on its implementation. That is why at its sessions the Commission checks regularly results of this document implementation," the ambassador reminded.
