Azerbaijan and Belarus desire to counter global financial crisis by activation of their contacts

Baku, Fineko/abc.az. The Byelorussian ambassador to Azerbaijan, Nikolay Patskevich, believes it useful to intensify bilateral relationships between countries, particularly between Belarus and Azerbaijan, under conditions of global financial crisis.

Patskevich says that "last year it was organized 82 visits of delegations from reps of business circles, ministries and departments through Byelorussian Embassy in Azerbaijan, including 52 of them paid to Azerbaijan and 30 ones to Belarus.

According to Patskevich, the Minsk province delegation that arrived in Baku on 22 February composes reps of 21 enterprises of the largest economic sectors - from BELAZ producing motor vehicles with carrying capacity of 20 up to 320 tons to food and clothes factories.

The diplomat says that the delegates have already conducted a range of meetings with reps of such Azerbaijani companies as Azersun, Akkord, Vusaogli, and Azeryolservis. One more meeting is planned with the governmental figures.

"Thus, all necessary work on search of additional opportunities for growth of our trade and economic partnership is being conducted," the ambassador said.
