Belarusian Vice Premier’s forthcoming visit to Kazakhstan discussed in Minsk

MINSK. February 20. KAZINFORM Working visit of First Deputy Prime-Minister of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Semashko to Kazakhstan is scheduled on February, 25-27, Kazinform refers to the press-service of the Kazakh Embassy in Belarus
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Belarus Anatoly Smirnov met with First Deputy Prime-Minister Vladimir Semashko to discuss visit program and a set of issues for the upcoming trip. Taking into account the interest of the Belarusian side the Kazakh diplomat detailed the Kazakh economy, state programs: “30 Corporate Leaders”, “The Path to Europe” including “SamrukKazyna” NWF and noted that all huge projects are implemented through this Fund.

It should be noted that in the face of financial crisis Belarus expresses even more interest in Kazakhstani market. In particular, according to V. Semashko they are ready to supply agricultural equipment including all units and parts needed. The issue on gasification was also considered during the meeting. First Deputy Prime-Minister of Belarus B. Semashko informed that Belarus has necessary facilities, qualified staff, pipes and regulating equipment for the construction of gas networks; he also expressed willingness to help bring gasification in any city, district or facility in Kazakhstan.

In addition to the issues on industrial cooperation, the issues on interaction in education and science were considered during the meeting as well. The parties expressed interest in the enhancement of cooperation between scientific organizations of the two countries.

In addition, it was proposed to consider the possibility of Belarusian economic entities’ participation in the development of joint deposits on the territory of Kazakhstan, implementation of projects on joint enterprises for agricultural equipment, elevators, furniture as well as construction of auto-roads and power stations, etc.
