Belarus business aims for Baku forum success

Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Nikolay Sakhar, first deputy of the Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Belarus, hopes for high efficiency of Baku meetings between Byelorussian and Azerbaijani entrepreneurs.

Sakhar said that the Byelorussian delegation composes reps of 11 various companies among which are (Slutsk Furnitu Factory OJSC, Slodych Confectionery OJSC, BakkoINstruments (producer of tools), "Krasniy Borets" Machine Tool Plant, etc.

"Our goal is to foster further bilateral co-operation between our countries' business people. For the two days of the forum we will try to find forms of partnership. I'd like the meetings would have concrete results. I don't hope for up-to-the-minute result, but I can say that last year's Baku exhibition with involvement of Byelorussian companies has already showing its results as almost all its participants are co-operating with Azerbaijani companies," Sakhar said.

He also informed that in 2008 trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Belarus totaled $110 million that is two-fold more versus 2007.
