Belarus expels two Danes for "illegal religious activity"

Minsk, February 10, Interfax - Belarusian interior authorities have decided to deport two citizens from Denmark, the Belarusian Interior Ministry's Department for Citizenship and Migration told Interfax.

They were expelled from Belarus for "illegal religious activity" and banned from entering Belarus for one year.

The foreigners were staying in Belarus on a short-term. "It was found that they spent two days conducting an illegal religious activity at a prayer house of the Protestant community," the Department for Citizenship and Migration said.
