Azerbaijan-Belarus Trade Economic Relations Expanding

Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Belarus Ali Nagiyev met with Victor Shorikov, Chairman of the Executive Committee of Mogilev oblast (Belarus) to discuss the prospects of development of trade-economic relations.

Commodity turnover between Mogilev oblast and Azerbaijan reached US $ 1,5 mln, Mr. Shorikov said. Azerbaijan Diaspora is the largest one in Belarus, which ought to be attracted to establishment of closer relations.

Mr. Nagiyev, in his turn, highlighted that commodity turnover between the two states reached 30 mln dollars. There are all opportunities to increase this figure by export of agricultural production, wines and cognacs, and other goods to Belarus. Azerbaijan is keen on increase of import of the agricultural equipment, elevators, woodworking enterprises' production etc.

The Ambassador also offered to establish closer relations between "Mogilevliftmash" plant and Azerbaijan enterprises to establish JV on assemblage of the passenger elevators.
