Belarus Plans to Increase Export to Ukraine Up to Billion Dollars in 2006

Belarus plans to increase the export to Ukraine in 2006 up to 1 billion dollars, compared with 907.8 million dollars in 2005.

According to the press-service of the Belarussian Council of Ministers, Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Sidorskiy claimed this at a meeting with the top Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Stanislav Stashevski in Minsk today.

Last year our countries achieved a record commodity circulation in the mutual trade ? 1.8 billion dollars. In 2006, we set a task to achieve 1 billion dollars of export?, said S.Sidorskiy. He believes that the mutual trade volumes grew owing to the activities of the inter-government Belarussian-Ukrainian Commission for issues of the commercial-economic collaboration.

The Belarussian Prime Minister added that his country is interested in broadening the presence of the Belarussian production at the Ukrainian market.

S.Stashevsi also believes that the year 2005 was successful and fruitful for the commercial relations between the two countries.
