EUR50m Credit Line For Exports to Belarus

The Export Development Bank of Iran has extended a credit line of ?50 million to facilitate exports to Belarus, an official from Trade Promotion Organization of Iran announced.

During recent visit of Commerce Minister Mehdi Ghazanfari to Belarus, it was also agreed that Belarus would also provide a similar credit line worth of ?50 million for Belarusian firms who are interested in import and export activities with Iran, Abdolhamid Asadian, the director of the Europe and America Bureau of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran added.

The credit line from Belarus is to be provided by Belarus Bank, IRNA reported.

During this trip, the Export Guarantee Fund of Iran (EGFI) and Trade Capital Bank of Belarus signed a memorandum of understanding based on which the facilities offered by the Belarusian bank up to a ceiling of $40 million would be covered by EGFI.
