SOCAR to supply 6-8 m tonnes of oil to Ukraine and Belarus in 2011

The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR) plans to supply six to eight million tonnes of Azeri Light crude oil to oil refineries in Ukraine and Belarus in 2011, SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev has told reporters.

"This year we will supply from six to eight million tonnes of oil to Ukraine and Belarus," he said after the opening ceremony for a SOCAR fuel filling station in Mykolaiv region.

Along with this, Abdullayev did not specify if consignments from these six to eight million tonnes of oil would be delivered this year to Kremenchuk oil refinery (PJSC Ukrtatnafta, Poltava region) or if the oil would be delivered to the Drohobych (Lviv region) and Nadvirna oil refineries (Ivano-Frankivsk region).

At the same time, according to his estimates, Kremenchuk oil refinery in 2011 will receive more oil compared to the 2010 volume, when the plant received 1.614 million tonnes of oil from Azerbaijan.
